The Government of Morocco has suspended direct flights with Russia. The reason for this decision is still unknown. The Russian Embassy in Morocco announced the temporary suspension of air traffic on its Facebook account.
The publication notes that the decision was made by the “competent Moroccan authorities”. It comes into force on October 5, 2021.
At the same time, transit flights are not subject to restrictions.
“We urge passengers of cancelled direct flights to take this information into account,” the embassy warned.
Recall that Russia resumed air traffic with Morocco in early June. Flights to Casablanca have so far been operated by Aeroflot and Royal Air Maroc aircraft.

According to the information of the operstab, on October 5, a record death rate from COVID-19 — 895 people was recorded in Russia. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 7637427 cases of the disease have been detected in the country, of which 6759059 have recovered, 211696 have died. During the day, on October 5, coronavirus was confirmed in 25110 people in Russia.
