More than 1.6 thousand people were injured in the earthquake in Eastern Turkey. This was stated by the President of the country Tayyip Erdogan, RIA Novosti reported.

“the death toll from the earthquake is 31, another 1607 people were injured, 1503 of them have already been discharged from hospitals. Rescuers managed to extract from the rubble of 45 people,” – said the Turkish leader.

He stressed that the authorities continue to eliminate the consequences of the earthquake and to establish the damage from natural disasters.
