Deputy Chairman of the security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev appealed to the Russians in connection with the vote on the amendments to the Constitution. A video message from the former head of the government wrote about the polling station where he cast his vote.

According to Medvedev, the change of the Constitution became relevant in light of recent events.

“Things, which are translated at the constitutional level, have become extremely important in the current period, when due to the pandemic in the fashion industry, people are faced with unemployment problems that are associated with the lack of additional work or a basic income”, – quotes the Chairman of the security Council of the Russian Federation edition of “Rise”.

Earlier, Medvedev said that Russia must remain a presidential Republic, and the proposed amendments to the Constitution, he said, expand the powers of the Parliament.
