In the South African province of Mpumalanga, a family actually wanted to eat something at McDonald’s. But instead of a normal burger, there was suddenly a frog between the toppings. A disgusting shock for the whole family, reports The South African.

The father complained about the incident on Facebook. His daughter almost bit the little animal. He writes: “Thanks McDonalds for the not-so-nice surprise at my daughter’s dinner tonight! I always thought things like that only happen in movies, but now it’s happening to us. Yes, you got that right, it’s a McFroggie.”

Daniel Padiachy, Chief Marketing Officer, Communications, IT and Supply Chain at McDonald’s South Africa, responded by saying that serving fresh and safe food is of paramount importance to the fast food chain. He assured that the matter would be taken seriously and that the McDonald’s branch would be investigated.
