Margarita Rusetskaya identified five problems in the preparation of a good specialist in Russian Philology

According to the rector, must teach them at school. To teachers especially it is necessary to work on oral Russian. This is evidenced by the results of the assessment of experimental oral part of state exam in Russian language for graduates of 9 classes.

“Approximately 30% of students failed the oral part of the OGE, – quotes the press service of the Pushkin Institute Margarita Rosecky. – Students must be taught to speak convincingly, to maintain a dialogue, to defend his position.”

the Second problem that needs to be solved, is to improve the quality of recruitment of applicants. Rusetskaya said: on classical direction are stronger students than on teaching.

“According to the monitoring of the HSE, the average score exam applicants in the direction of “Pedagogical education” in 2019 amounted to 64, and, for example, in the direction of “Philology” – 72, – quoted the rector. – For pedagogy often accepted high school graduates with C grades in major subjects. Take the Russian language: accept guys who have the exam on the Russian 48-53 points… that’s three!”

According to Rusetski, universities can and should set minimum thresholds of the exam at least 65 points in core subjects. “Our Institute has already established a lower threshold for core subjects – the Russian language – 75 points”, says she.

the Third problem is a special system of training students. This already works in Moscow and in several other regions. “Pre-University classes, classes with advanced study of subjects. Humanities classes is shookUY, the best opportunity for universities to help the school to prepare the boys who know, including the Russian language”, – said Rusetskaya.

the development of educational programs in universities is not always in the best interest of students – future teachers. A crucial role plays management task: the need to ensure the workload of staff members. “There is a solution – says Rusetskaya. This network cooperation, distance learning, joint programs with universities”.

And the last. Before graduation the student should be assessed for compliance with the standard of teaching. “We need a graduation demonstration examination for entrance to the teaching profession, based on the requirements of the professional standard “Teacher” and an independent assessment of the professional community – explains the rector.- The task is to Refine the examination in a profession where every graduate who goes to work in the school, could demonstrate fluency in the word – both spoken and written, and digital. And be prepared to transfer these skills to their future students.”
