Marco Streller is no longer a part of the Board of Directors at FC Basel. The 38-Year-old has informed his Board colleagues that he wants to concentrate in future on his professional training. The FCB reported officially.

“Everyone who knows me, knows how difficult it is for me, this decision falls. I am convinced that it will not be a farewell forever. I feel the FCB too much connected”, says Streller.

Until the middle of June, who resigned as the FCB-sport-in-chief. He lost an internal power struggle with coach Marcel Koller.

“The FCB thanks to Marco Streller very much – as a player, sports Director and Board of Directors. He will always be a part of the FCB family,” says President Bernhard Burgener in the media release.
