He had been brought to the prison Helicoide in the capital, Caracas, told the national Assembly on the same day. The agents had surprised him in his car and the vehicle towed.
Zambrano himself had, shortly before his arrest, wrote on Twitter that agents of the secret service, Sebin would have surrounded his vehicle in front of the headquarters of his party. “When we get out to us have refused, they brought in a crane to bring us right to Helicoide (secret service headquarters).”
Against Zambrano will be determined because of the father treason, Rebellion and conspiracy. He had appeared in the past week, together with the self-appointed interim President, Juan Guaidó, the from house arrest, freed opposition leader Leopoldo López and several renegade soldiers from the air force La Carlota base in Caracas and called on the military to side with the Opposition.
Guaidó condemned immediately the arrest of his Deputy as President of the national Assembly. “We warn the people of Venezuela and the international community: The Regime has kidnapped the first Vice-President (the national Assembly),” wrote Guaidó in the short message service Twitter. It attempts “to destroy the force, which represents all Venezuelans”. This will, however, fail.
The coup attempt against President Nicolás Maduro failed, however, because the armed forces of the socialist government kept the faith. In the case of clashes between protesters and state security forces at least five people were killed in the following days, killed, dozens were injured.
