In Venezuela will set up a National office for the fight against drugs. This statement was made by President Nicolas Maduro, stressing that the creation of this Department will bring a new level the fight against drug trafficking.
According to Maduro, the organization management will begin next week. “Venezuela has the world record for the destruction of drug labs, and is a territory free from manufacturing and processing of narcotics”, – TASS quoted the Venezuelan leader. He also noted that a significant portion of the drugs transported to the Bolivarian Republic of Colombia.
In 2019, the UN experts praised the actions of the Venezuelan government to prevent drug trafficking, as well as to achieve the lowest level of drug consumption in Latin America. In addition, the international Committee for drug control in the past year and highlighted new anti-drug strategy of the Republic and the largest cocaine seizures in that country.
Note that in late July, law enforcement agencies of Venezuela seized more than nine tons of cocaine on the border with Colombia. In the state of Zulia has been eliminated two major camps with 25 laboratories for drug production.
