The singer admitted that he had received such a punishment for saying at a concert in 2012.

“I gave a speech 8 years ago. The government fined me a million dollars for the support of the gay community. I did not pay this penalty,” wrote Madonna on Twitter.

In 2012, representatives of the movement “people’s Cathedral” and “Union of Russian citizens” accused the artist in the propaganda of homosexuality and pedophilia and filed a lawsuit to the court. They demanded with Madonna moral compensation of 333 million roubles, however the claim was rejected.
