President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko ordered the country’s army to ensure stability in society and protect the sovereignty of the Republic. Lukashenko on 19 June reported that on the background of the passing of the presidential election campaign, the authorities disrupted "a large-scale plan to destabilize the country, which was attended by external forces".
"In this situation the task of the army and special operations forces, primarily the defense of the Fatherland, the maintenance of stability and harmony in society. Here is my order.
