The highest activity among all regions of the Far East during the voting on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation expressed the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug and Jewish Autonomous oblast. The turnout there was 75,58 and 72.11%, respectively, reported in a press-service of the government of the Jewish Autonomous region.
"I thank everyone who took part in the voting on the amendments to the Constitution of Russia. It was historically significant referendum. Thanks to all the staff of the electoral system, volunteers and consultants of the Constitution. You did a great and very important work. Together we define the future of our country", – said the head of the region Rostislav Goldstein.
Highest turnout was recorded in other regions of DFO. Already at ten in the morning of July 1, your mark on the ballot has put more than half of the voters in Buryatia, and six in the evening, the turnout there was 62,91 percent. In the Sakhalin region voted 67,99 percent, included in the lists of inhabitants. In the Amur region – 59,17 percent.
