Lavrov: Russia and Venezuela agreed to strengthen partnership in terms of sanctions

Russia and Venezuela have agreed to strengthen military-technical cooperation.

according to “Interfax”, about it the world community informed the Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov, speaking at a press conference on results of his talks with President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro.

He explained that Moscow will continue to strengthen the combat capability of his partner in the face of external threats. The Russian foreign Minister stressed that Russia rejects illegal sanctions and interference in the internal Affairs of Venezuela, viewing it as a kind of international blackmail.

the foreign Minister noted that Moscow and Caracas have agreed to deepen cooperation in energy, industry, trade and agriculture.

According to him, the more specific aspects of tangible interaction will be discussed in may 2020 at the session of the Commission on trade and economic cooperation.

Lavrov also noted that Russia is interested in a politically stable Venezuela, which, according to him, is the key to successful development of the country.
