Lavrov gave advice to Russians

The Russian foreign Ministry strongly advises Russian citizens to send their children to the US through training programs. The Minister of foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov said in an interview with "Kommersant", commenting on the situation with the students who last fall moved from Russia to the States, and now that the U.S. state Department to urgently shut down the project in the epidemic of the coronavirus, would be without legal protection.

According to the Minister, the parents don’t have to agree on the training program, if they are not protected by international legal agreements between Russia with the United States now there. The Minister recalled that recently the state Department has put the Russian Embassy in Washington to face the fact that dozens of Russian schoolchildren are in the US programme for high school students, which now urgently needs to be completed.

The foreign Ministry found that children brought to the United States without the knowledge of the Russian officials, but now the location is unknown. We are talking at least about 74 minors.

"We don’t know where they are, the state Department also cannot provide all the information. Already sent information to the Ministry of education of Russia, so they canvassed all the schools who could be in the same situation", – concluded Lavrov.
