The Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov has discussed with the head of the International Committee of the red cross (ICRC) Peter Maurer practical measures to overcome the humanitarian consequences of a pandemic of coronavirus, said the foreign Ministry.

Telephone conversation with Lavrov and Maurer had taken place on 28 April.

"were discussed the issues of interaction in combating the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19 and practical measures to overcome the humanitarian consequences of a pandemic", – stated in the message of the Ministry.

The Ministry also reported that there was a traditional exchange of views on the subject of responding to crisis situations in various regions of the world, in particular, assist the civilian population of the South-East of Ukraine and Syria, as well as on other topical issues of bilateral cooperation.
