The Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov had a telephone conversation with his Belarusian counterpart Vladimir Makei, the incident with detention of Russian journalists in Minsk, reported the foreign Ministry of Belarus.

“the foreign Ministers of two States discussed issues related to individual representatives of the Russian media in Belarus outside the legal field without accreditation”, — quotes the press service RIA Novosti.

Lavrov also congratulated the Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko, who won the last of August 9 presidential elections.

August 9, three journalists of TV channel “Rain” was detained in Belarus. According to the Russian foreign Ministry, the incident occurred due to lack of required accreditation.

They were later released, issuing a ban on entry to Belarus for five years.
