The first President of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk during his speech in Parliament said that to undermine the “power” of the country can the conflict between the center and regions.
“We can’t accept the fact that society is brewing confrontation between the centre and regions – the regional elite. Believe me, this is a dangerous trend. It can undermine the strength of our country. To those who do, I have a request: first check with your people, change the Constitution: the people want a Federation or a unitary state. In a unitary state this is unacceptable”, – quotes Kravchuka “Strenia”.
He added that foreign interference in the Affairs of the country is unacceptable, and still talking about it – about the West or the East. “I appeal to all: stop trying to undermine the situation in the country,” urged Kravchuk.
The first President also recalled that the Declaration on the sovereignty of the country suggested that the party member.
