Bundesliga promoted Schalke 04 have presented the eleventh new signing for the coming season in Alex Kral. The change of the Czech also works thanks to a special rule of FIFA.1

Kral loan thanks to FIFA rules: FC Schalke 04 have signed Alex Kral (24). The Czech international is moving from Spartak Moscow to Gelsenkirchen and has been given a contract until the end of the season. A fee is not due because a special regulation from FIFA applies, according to which his contract, which runs until 2024, has been suspended due to the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine.

Short, compact, clear

Schröder is convinced of Kral: Kral is very agile despite his height of 1.87 meters, brings a lot of running and a good maximum speed,” explains Schalke’s sporting director Rouven Schröder. “He acts cleverly and skillfully against the ball, closing spaces and anticipating the opponent’s actions very well.”

Schalke beats Hertha, Bayer and RB: Recently, Hertha BSC, RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen are said to have been interested in Kral. The 24-year-old six was last loaned out to West Ham United but only got a minute to play.
