the Ministry recalled that the program of support for poor families with children aged 3 to 7 years began on 1 June. All this payment will cover about two million children. Her eligible citizens, per capita household income below a subsistence level for each family member that is installed in the region.
As explained by the Minister of labour and social protection Anton Kotkov on Tuesday at the briefing in the government, the payment is funded from two sources – Federal and regional budgets. Its size is 50% of a regional living wage – the national average is 5,500 rubles. He also noted that it is calculated and paid starting with 1 January 2020, that is, from June 1, citizens have the right to receive a lump sum cash for the previous six months. According to the Minister, the national average this payment will amount to 33 thousand rubles.
He also stressed that in the future, until the end of 2020 citizens will receive a monthly payment for each child aged 3 to 7 years, being raised in the family. In the future the payout will be reviewed and possibly increased.
“In 2021 we are instructed to analyze how this payment is sufficient to bring families out of poverty. In the future we will consider increasing the amount,” – concluded the Minister.
