In Kiev there was a transport collapse, said the mayor of Kiev Vitali Klitschko on may 13 during a briefing.
The official appealed to the government to permit operation of the metro.
“I appeal to the government after 22 may, and to may 25, to allow a return to work underground in the capital. Of course, we will consider the situation with the spread of the virus and hope it does not deteriorate,” — said Klitschko.
He criticized the idea of introducing special permits in the metro, noting that it would create a huge crowd.
As REGNUM informed earlier, the Minister of health of Ukraine Maxim Stepanov called the approximate dates of the weakening quarantine.
