In Ukraine from infection coronavirus infection can die up to 1.2 million people, said the mayor of Kiev Vitali Klitschko. The mayor came to this conclusion based on the expert data, according to RIA Novosti.
Klitschko at an extraordinary meeting of the government stressed that, according to leading experts, coronavirus can get up to 80% of the inhabitants of different countries. The mayor of Kiev said that the Ukrainian population of 35 million people, and invited members of Cabinet to calculate of that number, 3%.
“I did the math, 3% is 1.2 million people could die,” – said Klitschko.
According to journalists, the Ukrainian state statistics Committee said that as of 1 Mat 2020 in Ukraine, home of 41.9 million people.
Summing up his speech, Klitschko stressed the importance of respecting the inhabitants of the country of the regime of isolation and quarantine measures related to the threat of the spread of coronavirus in the country.
