Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov said that in the negotiations of the political advisers of the leaders of the “Normandy Quartet” there was a certain convergence, but the Russian delegation was not ready to sign the document, negotiated by representatives of Ukraine, Germany and France. About it writes “Interfax-Ukraine”.

He said that discussion about the wording and interpretations of the final document of the meeting lasted 11 hours.

“But the main idea was and the goal that all four political advisers were ready to sign a package of recommendations to the Trilateral contact group. And in this moment of convergence happened, I witnessed it,” said Reznikov and added that the Russian side has taken the time to prepare their proposals, therefore, the agreement has not been reached.

Reznikov at the same time announced the possibility of meeting the leaders of Russia, Ukraine, Germany and France in Normandy format in Berlin in August, but with “movement forward” and the implementation of agreements reached at the summit in Paris in December 2019.

July 3 in Berlin took place negotiations of political advisers to the leaders of “Norman Quartet”. They involved the councillors in four countries: Russia (Dmitry Kozak), Germany (Iain Hecker), France (Emmanuelle Bon) and Ukraine (Andrey Ermak). As Kozak said, as a result of the talks, was developed a specific mechanism to implement a stable ceasefire in Donbass, which will later be refined.
