Kazakhstan will gradually soften quarantine

Kazakhstan will gradually soften the quarantine imposed because of the coronavirus, but only in strict compliance with sanitary-epidemiological security, said Tuesday the Prime Minister of the Republic Askar Mamin.

In Kazakhstan, 1949 confirmed case of the coronavirus, of which 19 cases were fatal. The President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev extended due to the coronavirus to the end of April a state of emergency, which is valid from March 16, until that time extended quarantine in Nur-Sultan, Almaty and Shymkent.

"From April 20 to Nur-Sultan and Alma-ATA mitigated quarantine regime, resumed the activities of industrial enterprises in the construction industry and some types of services. They have already started their activities. Depending on the epidemiological situation we will continue to gradually soften quarantine mode, allowing the work to other companies and business entities", – said Mamin at a government meeting.

He noted that "the same work will be carried out in other regions of the Republic". "However, this is only possible in strict compliance with sanitary-epidemiological security", – said Mamin.
