Grade 3: Hasan Salihamidzic looks back on the German record champions’ season with mixed feelings. “I would give a (grade) three. I’m very Champions League oriented. Because we were also eliminated from the cup, I’m not satisfied with the season,” said the 45-year-old on Sunday in the Sport1 “double pass”.
Players out: The sports director was still in agreement with the first half of the season, but then he lamented the loss of key players like Alphonso Davis and Leon Goretzka: “You can’t replace players like that.” Salihamidzic also gives an outlook for the future: “We’ve learned a lot and want to do better next season.”
Mixed season: The Munich team surprisingly failed in the quarter-finals at Villarreal in the premier class. In the DFB Cup there was a 0:5 smack against Borussia Mönchengladbach in the second round. In the Bundesliga, Bayern won the championship title for the tenth time in a row.
