The well-known presenter Jes Dorph-Petersen is being abused by fraudsters, who take advantage of the current crisis with the coronavirus to trick money from people.

Jes Dorph-Petersen, has for several years been suffering with the plague, the scammers have misused his name in the fake articles on the web. In the articles appearing Jes Dorph-Petersen and several other famous danes, where they recommend people to invest in bitcoins. But it is pure lie and fabrication.

Now the traffickers have begun to exploit the fear of disease and fear of being hit financially in the coronakrisen to reinforce their scam. Therefore, the coronakrisen now in both the header, as well as in the articles, where the celebrities to be abused.

“I’ve lived with it here in about three years. But I have never been more angry than now,” says Jes Dorph-Petersen and continues:

“these fraudsters capitalise on the coronakrise, of which we are in. I am very privileged, but there are a great many out there who are rightly nervous about the disease, as well as the economic consequences, as it can get for them. Therefore, it makes me especially furious now,” says the well-known presenter.

most people can probably well understand the articles for what they are. Namely, it is pure bogus. But Jes Dorph-Petersen get anyway several requests from ordinary danes, who have either not found it or are in doubt.

“Someone writes and asks me why I think it is a good idea. Others ask whether I, as the presenter may be recommend the kind of. So there is someone, who believe in it. Otherwise, the fraudsters of course, could not continue,” says Jes Dorph-Petersen.

Several other celebrities also appear in the many different articles that all cover the same scam. Including Mads Mikkelsen, Karsten Ree, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Kåre Quist and several others. None of them voluntarily.

Typically the performs of the fake articles as ads on the social media. Including Facebook and Twitter. But they can also be sent as so-called spam mails.

Jes Dorph-Petersen have previously reported svindelnumrene, but he experiences that the police do not have the resources to do the job.

“I understand that the police must prioritize their work. Conversely, it is also too bad that the people here can continue almost without risk to cheat people,” he says.

“The bottle articles damage my and TV2’s credibility, but some will also extorted of their money. It is really disgusting,” says Jes Dorph-Petersen
