Actor Mikhail Yefremov was discharged from the hospital and now he is at home. About this Agency city news “Moscow” said the lawyer Elman Pashayev, representing its interests in court on criminal case about road accident fatalities in the city center.
On Tuesday, August 11, before the regular meeting Efremov was hospitalized from Presnensky court in Botkin hospital from-for sharp deterioration of state of health. On the same day the court postponed the August 18 hearing on the case.
The case is being heard by judge Yelena Abramova. At the time of the process Efremov is under house arrest. He is charged under paragraph “a” of part 4 of article 264 of the criminal code (“Violation of a person administering car, traffic rules, committed in a state of intoxication, entailed on imprudence death of the person”). The sanction of this article prescribes punishment in the form of imprisonment for the term from five till 12 years.
On the evening of 8 June on Smolensk square Efremov behind the wheel of a Jeep Grand Cherokee drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a Lada car. As shown by the medical examination, blood artist was alcohol. The driver of the oncoming car was taken to the hospital with fractures of the hip, ribs, traumatic brain injury and combined trauma to the head. He later died.
