Trouble in Wolfsburg: VfL manager Jörg Schmadtke wants to keep ex-coach Florian Kohfeldt at the club until his dismissal despite a bad season. However, the supervisory board ignores Schmadtke: Now the change of power is over with the wolves.

Degraded: Florian Kohfeldt had to leave his coaching position at VfL Wolfsburg a few days ago. According to “Sport Bild”, the decision was made by the supervisory board, but not by manager Jörg Schmadtke. Rather, he wanted to hold on to the 39-year-old until the end. This makes it clear: Schmadtke probably no longer has the last word.

Last time: Schmadtke’s contract expires on January 31st. Until then, he should collect a salary of around 1.5 million euros. A potential extension of the contract with the wolves has not yet been clarified.

Possible return: The big question at Wolfsburg is who will replace Kohfeldt. Bruno Labbadia, who left the club in 2019 after a dispute with Schmadtke, is said to be in the conversation. Without this as a spokesman, a change would be conceivable again.

No extension yet – Neuer makes explosive demands during contract negotiations, which puts “Brazzo” under pressure

Uncomfortable superstar – Bayern’s search for reinforcement: Is Dembélé any better than Gnabry?
