The operational Headquarters of the Primorsky Territory decided to suspend the requirement for the mandatory wearing of masks in public places. This was announced by the governor of the region Oleg Kozhemyako on Thursday morning in his official Telegram channel.

“The Operational Headquarters of Primorsky Krai has decided to suspend the mandatory wearing of masks. Sanitary doctors gave such permission based on the epidemiological situation,” the head of Primorye wrote.

Over the past week, the number of new cases of coronavirus infection in the Primorsky Territory has varied from 30 to 25 per day. This is almost 10 times less than two months ago. According to the regional Ministry of Health, more than 1 million people in Primorye received the coronavirus vaccine, which is more than 60% of the region’s population.
