The deputies of the opposition faction "Voice" in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine initiated the collection of signatures for the resolution on resignation of the Minister of health, Maxim Stepanov in connection with the unsatisfactory provision of physicians during the epidemic of the coronavirus, said Tuesday the Deputy of the party of Alexander Ustinov.

Rada appointed on 30 March Stepanova Minister of health.

According to Ustinova, despite promises of the head of the Ministry of health, Ukraine does not profit protective suits for doctors. "I want to tell you: yesterday I was at customs. Came suits. Is 72 thousand suits had to come and protect our doctors, came 29 (thousand – ed.). We just lie to your face at a time when the Ukraine each day, 100 medical workers are infected COVID-19. Just yesterday went on strike in Kharkov, when the doctors came out and said – we have nothing to defend themselves", – said Ustinov, speaking in the Parliament on Tuesday.

According to her, the faction "Voice" has begun collecting signatures for a resolution to "this man went to the office".

"I encourage each of you to sign this decree, because if you do, it becomes the accomplice of this crime, and when going to the regions in the hospital, the doctors you will ask: what have you done to us to protect us and to dismiss the Minister, who steals and kills? Because any way except as a mass murder can not be called" – said the Deputy.

She explained that "mass murder" she believes the failure to fully comply with the supply of protective suits for health care workers.

The government of Ukraine from March 12 due to the outbreak of COVID-19 introduced a nationwide quarantine for a month, later it was extended to may 22. From 6 April quarantine measures in the country was tightened, in particular, the government has forbidden to gather on the street in groups of more than two persons, except in cases of support of children. From 11 may, the government eased restrictive measures. Among other things, in the country start working food stores, terrace restaurants and cafes, the ban on walks in the parks. In Kiev, the relaxation of restrictive measures came into effect on may 12. The public transport is limited, it can be used by citizens on special permits, including doctors and police. The next stage of easing of the quarantine is scheduled from may 22.
