It has existed in the past.

the Martian Satellite Phobos in the distant future can be destroyed, and the fragments and dust around Mars formed a ring.

This assumption was voiced by the American astronomers from the SETI Institute. Their work is published in The Astrophysical Journal Letters.

Mars has two moons — Phobos and Deimos. According to one hypothesis, voiced in 2017 by other researchers, they were formed simultaneously with Mars and going to Mars orbit after a large cosmic cataclysm. Perhaps in the past, Mars experienced a collision with planetesimal, throwing into orbit a huge mass of rocks. Part of this substance subsequently gathered in orbit by satellites.

In the new study, astronomers SETI studied the orbital inclination of Deimos. It is less than 1 degree to the equator of Mars and about 1.8 degrees to the plane of Laplace. No one had paid much attention to such a small deviation, say scientists.

They are modeled, how could there be the inclination of the axis of Deimos, and came to the conclusion that it provoked a “sudden” formation of the new moon, Phobos. It happened a 3.5−3.9 billion years ago.

Scientists have not only confirmed the previous hypothesis, but predicted the Mars cataclysm in the future.

As you know, Phobos moves closer to Mars as the result of tidal effects of the planet. SETI astronomers expect that within 100 million years Phobos will reach the Roche limit, after which the tidal forces of the planet would tear the moon apart. In the end around Mars will appear a planetary ring. This dust and debris may form a new Phobos.
