In St. Petersburg launched the project 22350 frigate “Admiral Golovko”. The ceremony took place with a minimum number of participants, reports TASS with reference to the press service of the enterprise “Northern shipyard”.
“Admiral Golovko” is the second serial ship of the project, and in the line’s third ship. The lead ship of the project is the frigate Admiral Gorshkov, in 2018 it is in the Northern fleet. Also, now to transfer to the Navy is preparing a ship “Admiral Kasatonov”.
the Project 22350 is crucial. It is expected that the ships of the project in the future will become the main vessels of the Navy distant sea and ocean areas.
the Heart of the ship is a diesel – electric gas turbine unit with capacity of 65 thousand horsepower. It is a fully domestic development. All project ships equipped with the most modern artillery and rocket launchers.
In the coming months, the frigate “Admiral Golovko” will finish on the water. The transfer of the ship of the Northern fleet is scheduled for December 2021.
