Warning about the threat of heavy rains and floods announced on Monday in Shanghai, Wuhan and in the provinces of Anhui, the threat level in Wuhan promoted to second, the newspaper reports Taiwan News citing meteorological administration of China.

It is reported that on Monday morning, power was promoted to second level of emergency response in Anhoi and Wuhan in connection with the threat of floods due to heavy rains. Warnings were also issued for Shanghai and many other areas along the Yangtze river basin.

Xinhua news Agency reports that heavy rains do not stop in the cities for several days. In Wuhan received more than 250 millimeters of rainfall, many roads flooded. The city of Qianjiang in China’s Hubei province on Monday has raised the level of emergency in connection with heavy rains from the third to the highest first level.
