From 5 to 6 September in the NAO held a scientific conference and procession Naryan-Mar – Pustozersk, dedicated to the 400th anniversary of the birth of Avvakum, the ideologist of the old believer schism, the outstanding Russian writer and publicist. This at a press conference held in the St. Petersburg office of the news Agency TASS, said the Director of the Museum Association of the Nenets Autonomous district Elena Menshakova.

Recall: jubilee events dedicated to the 400th anniversary of the birth of Protopriest avvakuma, scheduled in 2020 in several regions of Russia: in Moscow, Nenets Autonomous district, the Nizhny Novgorod region.

According to Elena Menshakova, a large procession will gather believers from different regions of Russia and foreign countries. Believers will be from Pomeranian old believer communities in Naryan-Mar to the village of Telviska, then – according to ancient pustozersky the road to the village of Mouth, and after crossing the lake but will go to exile, and the burning of the rebel priest in now disappeared from the map of the earth the city Pustozersk.

In celebration of the anniversary of Naryan-Mar will open a bas-relief of the Archpriest Avvakum, made by the Arkhangelsk artist Sergey Suhinin. In addition, in the capital of the NAO is planned to organize a series of exhibitions. Among them – the exhibition of graphics of the Arkhangelsk artist Alexander Tarina living today in Mezen – the very city where Avvakum exiles spent one and a half years before being sent to Pustozersk. It should be noted that Alexander Tarin became the author of illustrations to the novel by his countryman, the famous Russian writer Vladimir Lichutin “Split”.
