In Russia wanted to impose income taxes on robots, and the proceeds paid into a special Fund for vulnerable professions. Thus the people in the next 15-20 years to replace the artificial intelligence, will be financially protected. With this initiative, the Finance Ministry asked the Institute for progressive education, writes the newspaper “Izvestia”.

According to analysts, in the next two decades without work there can be up to 20 million Russians. Because of the threat of massive unemployment state structures began to consider mechanisms to protect employees. Thus, the presumptive tax on robots is comparable to the 13 percent personal income tax, the Director of the Institute for progressive education Anna Marx.

According to experts, the most at risk people in such professions as salesmen and cashiers, guides, guards, recruiters, banking executives and analysts — those whose work involves processing large arrays of data.

the President of the Russian Union of taxpayers Artem Kiryanov noted that the collected levy funds should go not only to the formation of the Fund, but also to education of employees, improving their competency and the development of the labour market.

Experts also stressed that the adopted opinion on the complete replacement of people with robots in the future is wrong.
