OKB A. Lyulka Ufa motor-building production Association (part of Rostec UEC) is developing a universal motor, which can be installed on fighters without assuming the airframe, told journalists managing Director of the company Eugene Semipalitinsk.
"We have AL-31FP with thrust vectoring and it still modernizarea. With regard to products AL-41F-1S, it definitely is improved, every year OKB. The cradle receives about 60-80 patents for something new. Moreover, today we are considering the creation of a universal motor using components of the previous engines with the aim of obtaining more high technical characteristics," said Semipalatinka.
According to him, this is a versatile engine that can be installed on the su-27, su-30, su-35, without elaboration of the glider. "There is such an order from the Ministry of defence, we are doing this work", – said the Director of the company.
