On the roads of Moscow will be 18-meter buses-accordions. About this “Russian newspaper” reported in a press-service of the Moscow Department of transport.

Machines run on electricity. Electric bus door will open outwards, in this connection, freed additional space for residents in the centre of the cabin. The new bus will be able to fit 50 people more than usual. Bunching is only rated for 135 passengers.

Mosgortrans will announce a tender for the supply of machines in 2021. The first pilot versions will be tested and run on the Moscow roads in the near future.

In addition, Mosgortrans interviewed citizens about the new project. The Muscovites asked including to change the location of the USB chargers and destination indicators in the cabin.

July 24, transport analyst and resident of Moscow Alexey Radchenko conducted an experiment — four hours he was sitting at the bus stop and watched buses. Radchenko recorded the vehicle’s arrival and then checked against the schedule. In the end it turned out that all public transport which passes the selected Radchenko stop is not schedule or does not arrive.
