The mode isolation in Karachay-Cherkessia extended until 1 June as the number of identified cases of infection with coronavirus has not decreased, said the head of Karachaevo-Circassia Rashid Temrezov.

"In order to preserve the health of our citizens and prevent the further spread of novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) meeting today oberstab Karachay-Cherkessia adopted a decision concerning prolongation of regime of isolation and restrictive measures by the coronavirus in the territory of Karachay-Cherkessia until June 1, 2020. This means that, unfortunately, we can’t go to the first stage of lifting the restrictive measures, because the previous week on the territory of Karachay-Cherkessia has not decreased the number of reported cases of coronavirus infection," wrote Temrezov in Instagram.

According to him, health doctors also note a significant number of family foci of infection. Increasing the load on the regional health system, doctors, middle and Junior medical staff very seriously and professionally doing their medical first duty, for which they are hugely grateful, said the head of Karachaevo-Cherkessia.

"the Main reason for this situation is widespread violation of citizens of the Republic of the regime of self-isolation, failure to mask mode, the violation of social distance and other sanitary-epidemiological measures. Next week, we decided to maintain restrictions so that people could stay at home without having to visit places of mass gathering of people", – said Temrezov.

As said Temrezov, June 1, on the basis of the current epidemiological situation, the number of detected infections will be taken further decisions on the retention or removal of restrictive measures.
