Chairman of the Board JSC “RZD” Oleg Belozerov and Ivanovo Governor Stanislav Voskresensky has opened after scale reconstruction of the railway station in Ivanovo. The work lasted three years, was able to recreate the historic appearance of the building, built in 30-ies in the style of constructivism, and at the same time adapt it to modern requirements: there are ramps and a lift, tactile marking, restrooms and a reference terminal adapted for disabled passengers.
– Station of Ivanovo city unique: the seventh largest in Russia, the largest station on the Northern railway and is the largest of the stations, monuments of constructivism. Unfortunately, after 30 years the building has suffered from a number of renovations, its architectural appearance was broken. So far we have done the maximum to realize the idea, which was the constructivism 30-ies: using the latest technology with comfort and convenience for passengers, – said Stanislav Voskresensky.

In honor of the completion of reconstruction in the red hall of the station opened a multimedia exhibition depicting its history. It will run until 4 August.
