In India, a villager found an ancient sculpture, which was made by the followers of Jainism. The find was made in the state of Telangana.

On the opening, committed largely by chance, told local newspaper of Telangana Today. The ancient statue was discovered by a resident of one of the villages. The villagers themselves dug it out of the earth. Realizing that the statue is an ancient symbol of religious movements, they reported the discovery to the authorities.

Age was found sculptures yet to be determined. But scientists remind us that in the same place two years ago, was found a statue of the 23rd Jain monk of parsvanatha. In addition, both statues were discovered just 15 kilometers from the city of Sammallahti, which was the first capital of the dynasty Rashtrakuta.

members of this dynasty ruled the entire territory of present-day Telangana in the VIII-IX centuries of our era, and they adopted Jainism. From written sources it is known that this dynasty set up the statues of monks all over the Kingdom for a wide spread religion.

Perhaps found both of the statues were made in that period of time, that is, their age can be 1100-1200 years.
