A magnitude 4.5 earthquake occurred on 12 July in the region of Shida Kartli, Central Georgia. Information on victims and destructions.
As reported by the national seismic monitoring center, the tremors were recorded at 09:54 Tbilisi time (08:54 MSK) 21 km to the South-West of the town of Kareli, near the village of Levitan. The earthquake was at a depth of 10 km.

Hotbed of seismic events lies at a depth of two kilometers, the epicenter was located 63 kilometers from Zielona góra, with a population of almost 120 thousand people. Data on destructions of buildings and human casualties were reported.
