State Duma Deputy from the Crimea Ruslan Balbec in an interview with RT commented on the financial claims of Kiev to Moscow over the black sea fleet.

Earlier, Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vasily Bodnar said that Moscow allegedly have Kiev for the lease of naval bases in the Crimea several hundreds of millions of dollars that were not paid after the reunification of the Peninsula with Russia.

According to Balbec, the requirements of the Ukrainian side overcame "the threshold of sanity".

"Where have you seen that fleet, based on their territory, paying for Parking another state? Ukrainian politician really hot, demanding money from us for Parking the fleet in Crimea, which does not belong to Ukraine for six years", — said the Deputy.

The MP also added that Moscow fully complied with the obligations to Kiev for rent until March 2014, when Crimea became again the territory of Russia.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union black sea fleet was part of the Russian Armed forces, despite claims from Kiev. Finally, the question was settled in 1997 in the framework of the "Big contract" on friendship and cooperation, signed by presidents Boris Yeltsin and Leonid Kuchma.

Part of the agreement included three documents regulating the parameters of division of the black sea fleet, the conditions of his stay on the territory of Crimea and financial issues associated with deployment.

In 2010, the two heads of state signed the Kharkiv agreement extending the lease of bases for ships of the black sea fleet in Crimea for 25 years from 2017.

After the return of the Crimea in 2014, the Russian side has declared the termination of all four documents.
