In December, DFB player Ilkay Gündogan (31) made a romantic marriage proposal to his Sara Arfaoui (26). Now the two have said yes in Copenhagen.
The Manchester City midfielder writes about a series of photos on Instagram: “We are married ❤ we are really happy!” celebrate.” She also wrote the word “Gundos” – an allusion to their now common surname.
Ilkay Gündogan and Sara Arfaoui only made their love public in the summer. First the model cheered on her current husband at the European Championships, shortly afterwards she posted the first couple picture.
But who is the woman at his side? Sara Arfaoui grew up in Nice, France, and has Tunisian roots. She now lives in Milan. She has a brother and three sisters. She left school early to become a model.
