Today in Budyonnovsk, a town in Stavropol Krai, to commemorate those killed in 1995 when exactly 25 years ago, armed militants under the command of Chechen field commander Shamil Basayev seized several hundred hostages. This was a bloody terrorist act in the history of modern Russia.
