The President of France Emmanuel macron hopes to hold talks with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Friday, 26 June, via videoconference. This was announced on Wednesday the Elysee Palace.

"the talks in the format of a videoconference is planned on Friday, in the afternoon" – said the representative of the administration of the French leader.

According to him, it is necessary to "make further progress in the settlement of crises, particularly in Ukraine".

According to the Elysee Palace, macron hopes to discuss with Putin, "the questions of ensuring strategic equilibrium," Libya and Iran, as well as the situation with the spread of the coronavirus. It is also planned to discuss the "major crisis appearing in the agenda of the UN Security Council," indicated in the administration of the French President.
