The start to the Year had been in line with expectations, informed by the manufacturers of the famous red drill on Wednesday in a Communiqué. The dynamics of the market have slowed in recent months, in some regions, said CEO Christoph Loos.

in 2018, was grown Hilti by 11 percent, and acquisitions, of all things, to 9.7 percent. For the current year, a total of the construction supplier is expected to remain unchanged with a growth in the mid to high single-digit range.

In by far the largest group region Europe, Hilti grew in the first four months of 6.1 percent. In local currencies, Europe would have increased sales by as much as 9.6 percent, compared to the previous year, lower value of the Euro but demanded its toll. The other way around in North America, where a stronger US Dollar pushed up the sales by 12 percent to swell. In local currencies, it would have been but only 8.1 percent.

In Latin America, the increase in local currency was 5.6 percent, and in Asia/Pacific, at 3.2 per cent. In Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa Hilti rose by 3.0 per cent – “despite ongoing economic tensions in Russia, Turkey and the Gulf States”.
