The production of the tractor manufacturer Fendt in Germany is running again a good one and a half weeks after the failure due to a hacker attack.

At the headquarters in Marktoberdorf (Ostallgäu district) and in the plants in Wolfenbüttel in Lower Saxony, in Hohenmölsen (Saxony-Anhalt), Feucht, Asbach-Bäumenheim and Waldstetten (all Bavaria), work was resumed on Monday, said a company spokeswoman.

The US parent company AGCO, one of the largest manufacturers of agricultural machinery in the world, announced on May 6 that it had found a hacker attack with blackmail software. Operations would be affected for several days. On Monday, the group announced that production had resumed at a large part of the affected AGCO sites. In the course of the week, work could start again at the other locations.

As things currently stand, AGCO expects to be able to compensate for the losses associated with the hacker attack by increasing production.
