The German national soccer player Ilkay Gündogan may be about to leave the English Premier League leaders Manchester City in the summer.

Soccer, Formula 1, tennis and more in a sports package

As the “Daily Mail” reports, the 31-year-old was free to look for other options in the summer due to his merits.

Gündogan’s contract runs until 2023, an extension is unlikely. The midfielder has played for Man City since joining from Borussia Dortmund in 2016 and could win the league for the fourth time this season. He was among coach Pep Guardiola’s first signings.

Gündogan also lives in a condominium complex in the city center in close proximity to the Spanish coach. This year, the Gelsenkirchen native started 20 of 37 Premier League games and is also one of the five vice-captains. However, Gündogan wanted more playing time, which the club could not guarantee.

Are they the least popular because they are the best? Liverpool FC are winning everything at the moment, but have now been voted the most hated club in the English league in a poll.

Youssoufa Moukoko is considered one of the greatest talents in German football. Now his time with the BVB professionals is probably coming to an end. The striker is now sharing clear pictures on social media – and already seems to be saying goodbye.

Erling Haaland should have been happy about the reaction of the fans when he left BVB. The striker did not like the request to undergo a doping test after his last game.
