the Belarusian Delegation has signed in St. Petersburg a Protocol between Gazprom and the government of the Republic on the gas price for Belarus by 2020.

the Document was signed by Chairman of Board “Gazprom” Alexey Miller and the Ambassador of Belarus Vladimir Semashko, according to a press release of the Russian company. The meeting was attended by the Minister of energy of Belarus Victor Karankevich.

In early February following the meeting of presidents Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin, an agreement was reached on the conservation of gas prices for Belarus at the level of 2019 the entire year 127 dollars per 1 thousand cubic meters.

31 Dec 2019 signed the Protocol on price in the supply of natural gas to Belarus in January and February 2020. Therefore, the price of 127 dollars for 1 thousand cubic meters functioned for only two months, but now the price of gas supply is maintained until the end of the year.

In General, contracts for the supply of Russian gas to Belarus and its transit to Europe through the territory of the Republic are valid until the end of 2020, but the question of price was left open.
