MOSCOW, may 26 — RIA Novosti. the Price of Russian gas for Georgia will be the same as they were in the 100% sample of annual contract volume, now the obligation for the selection is fixed firmly, told reporters in press service “Gazprom”.
“the gas Price for Georgia will be the same as it was before with a 100% sample of annual contract quantities. Now these obligations for the selection is locked firmly”, — the company said.
Minister of economy of Georgia Natia Turnava on Tuesday told reporters that the leadership of the country agreed with Gazprom to lower the price of imported gas by about 15%.
In March 2019 Georgia and “Gazprom export” signed a new contract on Russian gas transit to Armenia via Georgian territory, which was to last until the end of 2020. Then Turnava stated that the agreement contains improved commercial conditions: transit fee has been increased, and the price for Russian gas reduced. The Georgian side also reported that it has agreed with Gazprom on gas purchases in small quantities. The volume and the price of these supplies was not disclosed.
the Main supplier of gas to Georgia is Azerbaijan. Until January 2017 Georgia received for gas transit from Russia to Armenia 10% of the total volume of the missed material. In 2017, gas transit to Armenia was paid under a mixed system — partly in cash and partly in raw materials, and in 2018 it was paid for in cash only.
