Library of the Moscow Department of culture in children’s Day, June 1, runs a program of summer reading. As said Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of Moscow, it will be conducted in an online format. The theme of 2020 “Favorite writers on the planet”. The young participants have to read over the summer several of the books by famous Russian and foreign authors, and then write about each opinion in a creative journal.

She also recalled that the first program took place in 2018 under the slogan “summer is the time for Hobbies!”. The participants could take themed books in the city libraries, there they took their creative journals. The theme of the campaign in 2019 were travel. Then the program was attended by over three thousand children and teenagers, they got in the library about 14 thousand books.

Diary and creative work will need to be sent in electronic form until September 11.
