the Russian rocket Soyuz will launch from Kourou in French Guyana this fall.

As reported by the German centre for air and space DLR, the launch of the carrier rocket “Soyuz-ST” with the satellite of optical-electronic surveillance UAE Falcon Eye 2 was planned in the beginning of March, but had problems with the upper stage “Fregat”, and the launch had to be postponed. Especially in the spring, the spaceport was closed because of the epidemic of the coronavirus.

Now the upper stage is replaced by a spare. According to DLR, the launch of “Union” with Falcon Eye 2 is scheduled for October 16. And in November from Kourou will be conducted another launch of “Soyuz-ST” with the French satellite of optical-electronic surveillance CSO 2.
